You will see from the photos that we are (most of us anyway) past the first flush of youth. We are more ‘weathered’. We’ve absorbed the stresses and strains of travelling to the four corners, being changed, being merged, acquired, promoted and fired, and we have made through to a state of tranquil inner-peace. Well, not quite, one or two of us still twitch a little.

George Davis, MBA, FCIM

George focuses on turnaround, restructuring and rescue.

With significant general management, strategic and operational planning experience, George has worked in both post-acquisition, and distressed businesses change environments, and works both with with other members of the Worcester Black team and with partner organisation, KSA Group Ltd.

Originally from a marketing background he is a highly experienced brands marketing and PR professional with wide-ranging national and international experience, including senior general management, project and interim management and internal/external consulting.

He’s run SME sized business units in manufacturing and worked at divisional level, for large UK & US firms operating in consumer durables, specialist print, brewing and PR.

George, also a Prince2 practitioner, specialises in:

• Rescue and Recovery
• Strategic and operational planning
• Brands marketing and Public Relations
• Pre and post merger and acquisition work (due diligence, restructuring post acquisition change management and contract negotiation)
• The development, and implementation, of organisation-wide operational process change and cost reduction programmes.

He also works as a non-executive director.

Bob Barton

Bob is a highly respected & experienced logistics professional who has an established & diverse career in large scale project management, operational and leadership roles up to main board level.

He’s a dynamic & creative problem solver, someone able to implement strategic & tactical solutions within complex, system driven, service critical environments.

Proficient working at all levels in SME and / or Plc businesses to deliver real value.

Capable of creative "out of the box" thinking, Bob brings with him an added ability to create "buy-in", and has proven himself as an influential leader at all levels whether that is managing “senior stakeholders” or the “operational management” team to deliver the required results.

As with others at WBL Bob has broad experience of change management, during mergers & acquisitions and in start-up situations, but also of operational re-engineering in on-going business environments.

Bob has significant customer relations experience having worked at senior levels with well known businesses in the UK and US.

Bob specialties areas include:

• End-to-end business / operational process review & strategic solution development at Executive Board Level.
• Multi-channel fulfilment process, infrastructure, systems, operations design & implementation.
• Home delivery / last mile arenas.
• Implementing change in big budget / complex business environments.

Peter Davis

Peter is an experienced and highly-skilled ICT professional who has held senior technical and commercial roles for new ventures, SMEs and multi-nationals. He has helped new ventures to secure seed funding and to find and win crucial early reference customers. He has helped established companies strengthen their business relationships, keep their customer references current and deliver perpetual profitable revenue streams.

Peter has worked with the mobile operators since the mid-80s when he helped Racal-Vodafone to build its first operational network management system in the UK. Since then he has worked almost continuously with Vodafone and other operators around the globe on strategic partnerships, service definition, content management and delivery, eCommerce, customer care and billing, supply chain management, desktop environment and most recently power planning and systems for their emerging market operations.
